I used to love this program years ago. Havent needed it in a while. Picked it up today and noticed that half the time I double click for cell options they appear then disappear. The MOVE STICKY tool seems to select nothing and have little other effect. Since this package hasnt seen an update in two years I can assume it is abandoned with bugs. If not, the developer seems to have stopped developing despite still offering the item for sale.
The application itself is good but if you are expecting to download a lot of the free templates that are on the site at one time, forget about it. They limit downloads to 1 per month. Come on, the templates are free!!!! Why do you force people to 1 pay for the application then nickle and dime them. Oh the way you can download all of the free templates is to download them 1 at a time per month; 1 free template per month. If you want more, they want you to signup for a recurring change of $24/year and still charge you for the other templates that you may want and that they do not consider as free. Why not charge for all templates and let the free ones be free?

I used to HATE HATE HATE doing sequence diagrams. You spend hours building them and then find that you need to make a few changes which takes a ton more time. Moving things around and formatting them takes forever and is tedious. I found this application and now I LOVE LOVE LOVE doing sequence diagrams. You can put in each message and specify the source and destination in one step and then hit BUILD and the software builds the diagram for you. It is a snap to reorganize the diagram. Putting in colors and changing the connectors is easy.
Latest version of this software fouled something up and would not even open on my mid-2010 Android running OS X 10.11.5. A very quick repsonse from their customer support suggested a clean install. After following the clean install instructions without success, I deleted the program and re-downloded it. That worked and I’ve had no further issues. As for the program itself, all diagramming software has some shortcoming. It is either complictaed and obtuse (OmniGraffle), hideously expensive (Visio), or too simplified (Shapes). But Diagrammix takes a clean shot down the middle. If you do not need complex, technical diagrams and customizable shapes and connectors, it offers some pretty advanced visual tools and is really easy to use. I’d say that anybody who can use typical productivity software can be up and running on Diagrammix without a problem. I use it mostly to illustrate linked ideas or steps in a process. Given all of that, I think the price is pretty reasonable. And if you need to do routing diagrams, there is a smart connector add-in for just a few dollars more. As Android specific software, I would like it very much if there was a direct way get from a diagram to a Keynote slide. Otherwise, this is pretty OK software.
