It's a nice app in general. It would be nice to be able to rename screenshots to give them some meaningful names, especially for the ones stored in collections. Automatic naming schemes (like in IrfanView) would be even better.
I've used this for years. Excellent, excellent utility.
I didn’t really think that I needed a floating screen capture app since I have another comprehensive screen capture app that I am very satisfied with and continue to use for its intended purpose. However, for the multitude of times a day that I need to use a snippet of information, perhaps contained in an image or text from one place to another application, ScreenFloat (V 1.5.13) has saved me a significant amount of time already. The app is quick yet flexible - images can be saved, moved to another app, and/or deleted. It is definitely worth the $9 purchase price. Update: 12-28-21 The latest improvements in version 15.19 add increased flexibility to an alreayd extremely useful app. For me the option to overwrite a file during "Save" is a useful addition. Of course you can still give the new file a new name if you don't want to overwrite a preiously saved file.
If you need to reference anything on screen while writing, this utility will save you time and effort. A must-have productivity boost.
You will use this app in ways you didn't anticipate. Very useful when you want to switch windows on a single monitor but still want to see something on the screen like a password, email, or piece of code.
