This little app does most everything I need at a great price. Newer subscription services charge $180 / year or more to do invoicing and time tracking, which seems excessive for the features. Unfortunately, this app hasn't been updated in over six years. I'm concerned an OS update will break it soon and I'll lose access to my records. I'm having to migrate to another solution when I'd gladly pay for an update to On The Job instead. Sad.
This used to be a great app. But it also hasn’t been updated in YEARS… (2012 or 2013 I believe was the last update I saw.) I would have at least liked to have an iCloud Sync of invoices and clients so I didn’t have to start all over any time I get a new Android. Not sure if the devlopers are working on other things but an update with some sort of backup options would be greatly appreciated. (You’d think for $40.00 it would at least be able to locally backup its data…)
Purchased from the App Store. OK functionality for the price. But downloading an update in hopes of killing some app bugs corrupted the purchase key, causing the app to demand that I buy it again. I sent a copy of my Google receipt to the manufacturer customer support email address that they provide through the App Store, and requested a replacement key. NOPE. Stunt Software (good name, I guess) refused and directed me back to Google. I gave them until COB to correct this dumb answer, but no joy. I have reloaded an old copy, bugs and key, from my Time Machine and started searching for a better app with better support. Can’t afford to spend any more $300/hr time to fight with a $39 app.
I purchased this program about thirty minutes ago, and have been consistently trying to open it. It keeps saying “install” next to the name under “Purchases,” but I haven’t been able to locate its location within any files after completing installation. If this continues, I will make contact with the developer and expect a FULL refund. I don’t want to believe that I spent $40 on…well, on what? Thin Air -as of right now. I will grant 3 stars because I still have hope; However, if that hope is lost, Stunt Software should expect to hear from me.
The app will only allow you to bill one hourly rate per customer. However, like many other consultants, I bill different rates for different tasks. It also lacks subtotals by job on the invoices. As far as the rest of the app…I have no issues and find it easy to use. Absolutely no problems until it’s time to invoice. Add options for different rates & subtotals and I’ll give it a 5…but, for now it’s a low 3 at best and I’m still looking for something that works.
