Sorry to see ViewRanger ending

ViewRanger has been my go to for hiking and horse riding for several years. It is neat, clean, easy to use, with several map bases available (OpenCycle is the one that suits my needs best). The change to Outdooractive is unhappy making. Outdooractive is fussy, has a bloat of “features” I don’t need or want, and a useless, for my needs, set of maps.

ViewRanger is great, no thanks outdoor active

I tried to like OutdoorActive but just can’t. It’s a different experience that doesn’t mesh with my hikes. Sorry to see this one go.

Upset I am loosing all my tracks

With the merge to Outdooractive I am loosing 6 years of horse trails I have collected. They show as individual tracks but do not show all together on one map. Disappointed you are going to a lesser quality merge.

Best out there for hiking

Stunningly detailed maps and the most accurate and easy to use gps system I’ve used. Better for tracking your own trails than finding existing ones.
