I have used apps that cost close to $100 that do the same job but more complex. This on my Mobile has made my job super easy. I do a lot of theatre work where I need fx sounds and background music. Some have to be integrated into one cue. I have also used it for voice overs where I need speed and pitch changes...it’s a breeze. It downloads easily from itunes or I record my own sounds and manipulate with reverb etc. This is my “go to” app everytime!
Twisted Wave is a ridiculously useful and capable audio editor. I have had it for years, and I would not be exaggerating when I say I use it every day; trimming samples, final editing of mixdowns, format conversion (wav>mp3, etc), all kinds of things. Apologies to the developer for taking so long to do a review. And the latest update (just got it today 4/13/2022) allows me to instantly import audio from a video file; just select a video in Photos, and the Share button includes TwistedWave; tap that and the audio from your video file pops right in, ready to edit. The Share function is extremely flexible; you can share your edited file almost anywhere, including AudioShare, DAWs, and LumaFusion video editor. TwistedWave also includes a vast collection of effects you can apply to an audio file; it can also access any AUv3 effects you have on your Mobile and use them to process your file. Highly recommended!

I can’t put my phone to sleep and still have the music playing, I can’t do it by pressing play from control center either. I was able to before. I have “Prevent Sleeping” toggled off. I teach dance and I need to put my phone to sleep so I keep my phone alive after long rehearsals. The following did not affect my rating: Not sure why but any audio I take from this app and put it in iTunes (via Android) to add to my music library will not work.
