Bought Mobilinc and Connect. It's a perfect match for my ISY-994i. What a great app Wes has developed. The one on one support Wes provides is also outstanding. Mobilinc is a must have for us Insteon users.
Many years back as Insteon grew I started my home automation. For a management hub I tried a couple of things finally hitting on ISY which has been, IMO, the only sane way to manage an increasingly complex system. I added z-wave thermostats and other components with seamless integration. Then came MobiLinc for secure, straightforward remote access thru ISY integration. I customized the app for my spouse’s devices so he doesn’t have to see anything but the scenes he cares about whereas my devices are set for me to monitor and control the whole network - excellent customization. Recently took advantage of the Alexa integration and our family is now used to thinking that this is just the ways homes work! And they should. The few times I’ve had any issue (say, with subscription renewal) the support has been immediate, personal, and effective: need to clone Wes. I have no idea why this whole setup has not become the default for home automation. At my spouse’s urging we got a couple of Alexa devices but keeping them reliably connected to our network was a pain. Insteon + z-wave + ISY + MobiLinc + Alexa = just the way homes work.
I stopped using this app because of the high cost to resubscribe. Also, I could not control scenes with it. I still had to use the console program. Too technical. Does this app still need the ud Isy cockle program on my Android?
Used to be my favorite if all of the ISY tools. Replacement app has subscription pricing and less features. Found a way to integrate with HomeKit using a Homebridge of the ISY and now I can use siri! I miss the scheduling features I bought as add on. Not part of their replacement version!
