The game play is very glitchy. It won’t let you play moves that are open or buy bonds when you have enough money. The programmer should be ashamed
Imperial is a terrific board game, and the ability to play such a dense economic game (don’t be fooled by the fact that it might look Risk-like or Diplomacy-like — it’s an economic game through and through) on the Mobile is terrific. In addition, the AI is very good; I’ve played the game (app version and tabletop version) many times but only win about 1 in 3 games against the AI. However, the UI is basically subpar. Lots of unnecessary clicks to continue, dragging units can be tricky, and occasionally not as responsive as it should be. 3 stars for the great game, 1 star for the great AI, and 1 star for the developer for updating the game to 64-bit to support the game and make it playable. If you’re a fan of heavier Euros (Agricola, Through the Ages, Le Havre, etc.) you should get this despite its flaws.
Everything about the game is great: I am a fan of strategy board games and did not know "Imperial". After learning how to play it from the documentation (no tutorial or help in the game) I realized what a great game it is. (I am planning to get the actual board game to play with my family) EVERYTHING ABOUT THE INTERFACE IS A DISASTER!!! The developer had obviously not done any benchmark with the quality of other games. For $10 and comparing with other great Mobile games (San Juan, Eclipse, Razzia, Carcassone, etc., etc.), this implementation is extremely frustrating and unattractive. I encourage the developer to do their homework and FIX and embellish this great game.
The developers really need to fix the game crash when going to buy bonds , it currently makes the game broken
Love the game and appreciate the support. However the latest patch makes the game crash every time the AI goes to buy bonds. Please help!
