Good Tone, Horrible UI

I know that Amplitube is all about accurate emulation. In that respect, it’s pretty good. However, as matter of personal taste, I absolutely loathe skeuomorphic interfaces, especially inconsistent ones. What possible place does a tape deck graphic have in a modern mobile app? It just takes up valuable space that could otherwise be used for, you know, actually putting in useful control surfaces. This is just one example. The developers clearly have conflicting goals: - Guitarists won’t buy our emulations unless it looks like the real-life gear they are used to using. So, all emulations get a skeuomorphic interface! Yay! And consistency be damned! - where it’s not an emulation, do something cute like a tape player; or console channel strips! Yeah. They’ll eat that right up! - Now, use the space left for modern buttons and stuff! It’ll be totally confusing! How do you adjust the metronome volume? You can’t, apparently, without knowing where the metronome signal is being routed; which seems to be nowhere. I blame boomers.

They still haven’t worked out issues with irig FX thru. Little to no sound onFX. No customer service ever available. Don’t wast your time with ikmedia

Great app one of the best

I don’t know what all these negative reviews are about. I have owned this app for quite awhile I have everything it offers. It looks great sounds great. Love all the extra packages. Only problem is I usually have to unplug my interface from my Mobile and then plug it right back in for it to work. I don’t no why but if this helps anyone. Unplug and plug back in from the lightning connector. Also too long in between any updates new sounds for iOS and such. I have both AmpliTube 5 and 4 on my Android. Also irig keys the irig pads micro monitors the irig 1 irig 2 irig hd irig pro duo 1 st one and the I loud speaker which I LOVE and the I klip stand and adapters. Love it all. I use my Mobile more a lot more Otherwise great job.
