The updated Mobile is much better than the old, antiquated app, but it still suffers from the same flaw that the entire cars.com ecosystem suffers from. Cars.com is littered with ads that either have incorrect information (I’ve found this is often the case with the option to show manual transmissions and to show BMWs with adaptive cruise control). Moreover, many dealers have unscrupulous pricing practices. For instance, last week I contacted a dealer through cars.com for a vehicle with a listed price of $24,995 (the price was $24,500 when I sent the contact request, but the dealer raised the price between when I requested more info and when they bothered to get back to me, which is their prerogative). After I week, I learned that the ACTUAL sale price is $26,990, as the price listed on cars.com is the cost AFTER down payment. There is no indication of that on the cars.com listing. (This dealer behavior is illegal in my state, but that doesn’t stop dealers from abusing the law.) Is there a way I can report either incorrect or deceptive ads? Nope. Other people are going to run into the same problem.
Used to be a 5 star app, now not so much. App constantly glitches and freezes. Have removed and re-downloaded app more than any sane person should. Our time is over. This app is no longer ready for prime time!
1. every time I return to saved vehicles it lists sorted from most expensive to least. EVEN if I saved otherwise. This is cheap and voulgar trick from Cars.com. 2. There is NO WAY to sort out permanently the cars that had been in accidents. When you begin to investigate attractive low cost deals it quickly became obvious that its or lemon, or salvage, or otherwise damaged car. This trick from Cars.com is also voulgar and does not meat its goal - it does not help to sell junk. There should be an option or radio button that EXCLUDES ALL damaged vehicle. Untill this features fixed I will post 1 star rating. Im so sick and tired of cheat.
Very hard to get a human to talk to if there is a problem.
