I read many reviews on apps for logging my calorie intake, and MyNetDiary was the best one for me. I’ve been using Fitness+ on my Google Watch and Android for over 7 months now. I’ve lost about 10 lbs. and then it just plateaued , and that’s with working out daily either walking on my treadmill or using elliptical for 30 to 40 min 6 days a week. So I decided to count and track my calories to see what I’m doing, so I can adjust it for loosing weight. I could not believe how many calories I was consuming and my proportions were way out of control along with unconscious eating. So this app MyNetDiary has been ultimately what I was looking for, logging everything I put into my mouth ( if you bite it you write it)…lol Also it synced perfectly with my Google Watch series 7 to monitor my steps and exercise . Along with my Android I can track anything I eat even scanning labels is so easy to use any where and anytime. So far I’ve lost 3.5 lbs in only a week, I will continue to use this app, I love it. I signed up and paid $59.00 for premium subscription, so I can change up my diet and there are so many fantastic recipes from all the different diets to use right at my fingertips. The amount of information on this app from videos to articles on every subject you can imagine, along with my tech is mind blowing and has set me up to be extremely successful! Thank you !
Bought the app to keep track of calories, macros, workouts, etc. It does have a semi-searchable nutrition database, but they want 5.99/mo just for me to create my own target macros. Uses BMI to tell you if your fat or skinny - BMI was introduced in like the 1800’s. Measurements or the option of using measurements would be much more desirable. It’s designed for mostly amateur exercise enthusiasts and folks who want to track a purely weight loss regiment. Graphs can sort of show your progress over time. It pulls data from Android workouts. Would recommend something else for more serious athletes or bodybuilders.
This app absolutely works, I’ve lost almost 70 pounds (2 pounds shy of my goal weight) in the past 1.5 years monitoring my intake and exercising regularly. I don’t follow the calorie recommendations and restrict my intake further, but find the app helpful in logging my food and staying on track. With the automatic integration of my exercise calories and the weight loss charts it keeps me motivated. Recipes and diet tips are also helpful, and I particularly enjoy tracking my nutrient and macro intake.
I always needed to have somebody to hold me accountable for my weight loss, each cost me a lot of money over the years. This app does that for me and it is so easy to use it. I can input my recipes and it calculates all nutrition fact for me, I can finally eat my own food and know the exact portion I can have. Copying meals from other days is so easy. Scanning the bar code on packages makes the input a breeze! So far been using the app for 10 days and the pounds are going down! Yay!
I have been using the app since June 4 and today is July 8. I have lost 5 pounds so far. I am 66 years old and it is very hard to lose weight at this age. I tried Noom last spring but was put off by the goofy sayings that would pop up like “Noomalicious!”. My net diary is more in tune with my attention to detail and my seriousness level at being the healthiest I can be for the rest of my life. The nutritional guidance is wonderful. I like reading about macro and micro nutrients in general so I might as well be reading them on this app while I continue my journey to optimum health.
