This app has had some bad reviews in the past but I have to say that it is very improved! There is a very large amount of pictures and I have found it very useful for studying. I'm a Physician Assistant student and it is proving to be well worth the $3.99. I love it and you should give it a try.
I think it's a nice app. but could be better with more pics and focused description, especially how to differentiate one type of lesion from another.
Disappionting at best. Not many pictures unless you google. Might as well stick with google then pay for this app.
From Download to execution the App would not run. It would execute to the opening screening then dump back out to the operating system. Not sure if it is because of iOS4 or what. I Downloaded it the same day I upgraded my G3 to it and I could not get it to work. $3.99 is not much for a reference app, but I would like to see it work. Please help out Dr Paul!! An upgrade with the fix would be great!!
*After updating to 1.1, this is a solid clinical reference. The addition of search and links to google images for additional pics of each condition are great improvements. This is a very helpful reference. The picture quality is quite good (most hold up well when zoomed). While the sidebar index works pretty well most of the time, I agree w/ a prior reviewer that a 'search' function would improve the ap. (Case in point: I looked under 'R' but did not find 'rosacea'; later, I stumbled upon it under 'acne rosacea'.) In a perfect world, search might even be tied to keywords such that I could search for 'face' 'pruritic' and get a list of conditions manifesting on the face which itch. A further enhancement, dwn the road, would be > 1 pic per condition, particularly for those w/ a range of presentations and to include derm pathology on non-caucasian skin. That all said, a great start and one I will definitely consult.
