When I saw a update for this app on the App Store, at first I was excited, but then realized it was only to add Android 5 display sizing, as is required of all apps in the App Store these days. I'm glad they now show the IPv4 addresses remaining at the 5 regional distributors of IPv4 addresses: ARIN and so on. Even though IANA is out, these regional registries still have a few addresses left. This app does its job, however it doesn't really provide much benefit to the user. As others have said, it would be nice for them to throw in some sysadmin tools such as IPv4 and IPv6 subnet calculators, or whatever else they might deem useful. The IANA page on the app is useless, as it's always 0 these days. The Hurricane Electric page is just a global map showing Hurricane Electric's physical locations, useful only as advertising material to demonstrate Hurricane Electric's very good global connectivity. The user can't interact with this page in any way, though. The most useful page is the readout of the 5 regional registries, which could be accomplished with a simple webpage. It doesn't need to be an app. Since Google only allows 11 pages of apps (even on Mobile!), I can't justify this app remaining on my device.
Thanks
Thanks HE for making this app. Would be nice to add some IPv6 features, maybe some v6 ping and v6 traceroute to give it some utility.
Would like to see a "check my IPv6 connection" tab added to this app now that iOS supports IPv6 for wifi.
I have watched these stats in a browser for a while, but it is great to have them on my phone now too. Thanks!
