  • Misleading *UPDATE*

    By Dr.Jonathon
Contacted developers with no response. Not a surprise. Apparently does not qualify for Apple refund so I just gave this sh*t app 5 bucks. Oh well, lesson learned. I downloaded the ESPN app specifically to watch College Game Day. After opening the app and clicking on College Game Day I was immediately prompted to purchase the $4.99 ESPN+ subscription which I did. Transaction complete, I clicked on CGD again and it took me to the live feed with a 10 minute preview time. After the 10 minutes it then prompted me to enter my TV provider information. What? I don’t have a TV provider—that’s the point. That’s why I downloaded the app and bought the subscription. It’s completely misleading when you click on what you want to watch and then immediately prompted to buy a subscription but then don’t have access to it after all. Feels a lot like bait and switch. So what was the $4.99 subscription for? Guess we’ll never know. Cancelled immediately and will be asking Apple for a refund.
  • Lack of meaningful updates

Why even have an iOS app if you’re not willing to update and take advantage of system features (dark mode ex.)
  • Do not pay for ESPN+

    By ReviewerG452
This service is garbage when compared to other streaming apps. ESPN+ is just another advertising platform that forces you to watch 30 long second commercials for ever 30 second clip you watch. The advertisements are not even distributed through an algorithm that would show users the most relevant advertising content. Instead it’s basic Big Advertising at its finest. I have the service only because I bought the Disney+ bundle. I will probably return to the app only to watch exclusive UFC and Boxing matches, unless I have to watch commercials. In which case I will just stream on Kodi. I am glad I did not jump on this app only because they carry UFC and Top Rank boxing. Paying for streaming means I should not be subjected to lengthy irrelevant advertising. “ESPN+.” The plus should stand for “plus more commercials.” As I stated before, do not use this streaming service unless you have 50/50 time. That means for ever second of content you get a second of advertising.
  • Need to be updated

    By Gucci McFly
This app doesn’t support espn+ fully. Only thing it has is streaming, there is no pickcenter access or any of the other tools that espn+ subscribers are suppose to have.
  • Could do better with accessibility

    By celinenme
I have larger text turned on due to being legally blind. This app still does not support it or have its own way to enlarge the small text especially in the articles. Other than that I guess the app is as good as can be expected with so much content to present. Just like ESPN+ on my TV though it can be hard to find things sometimes.
  • Live tv

    By siniko1
The devs need to fix the issue watching live tv on landscape mode. it has a glitch where it won’t let u watch it properly when in landscape mode it turns the image and requires me set it back to original top of the screen mode.

This thing is garbage and freezes (as in won’t work even when closed out and reopened) at least 2x a week. Yahoo Sports App is much better. ESPN continually dropping the ball
  • Horrible Lately

I use the app regularly but the last couple updates has caused alot of app freezing. I try opening it and all it does is stay stuck on a white screen.
