This app worked fine UNTIL THEY CHANGED THE RATING TO 17+ NOW MY APP WONT OPEN BECAUSE OF MY PARENTAL CONTROLS. I will not use makerworld or Bambu handy until this issue is fixed 🤨
The app has worked great for monitoring my prints, the skip object feature is indispensable for prints with small objects, and is super user friendly! My one gripe is that recently, the age rating got bumped up for an arbitrary reason and I know a few people who have been affected by this. They have age restrictions on their phones and now can’t use the app due to it being “17+”. It would be 5 stars if it weren’t unusable by people with those restrictions in place. It would be amazing if you guys at Bambu could change it to it’s previous rating.
The app is great for using remotely, which I use to monitor my prints, but this is where the 1 major issue is. When getting a notification, the Android will ONLY have a pop-up notification. No matter the sound settings in the phone or app, the Android will not make any sound with the Bambu Handy notifications. Apparently it has worked in the past, but not for some time and apparently not getting fixed anytime soon.
My wife and I use this app to operate our Bambu Lab P1S. We accept the fact that this is a limited version of Bambu Studio, but we LOVE its simplicity and convenience (the reason it got two stars). After updating to iOS 18.1.1, I lost the ability to see the feed from the camera. My wife’s phone (also has 18.1.1) can still see it without issues. I can’t figure out what may be the problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and rebooted the phone. Neither worked. It’s not the iOS, but I use a 15 Pro and she has a 14. Could that be it?? Whatever the cause, I will update to 5 stars if it gets fixed!
Unfortunately I needed a feature, that allows you to cancel a failed portion of the print, to work but the app says it’s out of date and I can only use it in prints with between -1 and 64 files in version 1.6 or newer… even though I’m fully up to date. Luckily I was able to have someone manually do this on the printer before total failure happened.
