    Ensemble Stars Music Reviews

    • I have mixed feeling

I have been anticipating this game’s release for several months now. I got into ensemble stars form the anime that came out in 2019. I was so excited when it got announced it was being translated to English. I have been playing it for about 3 days now and have noticed a few things that disappoint me about the game. One is the translation… it’s pretty bad. I have had to read over dialogue multiple times to get some kinda idea what they are saying. The worst is probably rei Sakuma. I get it’s apart of his character to speak like a old man but help!!! He makes no sense sometimes 😅Yeah his translations are pretty bad. The second problem I have with this game is only the second half is translated to English. The first part is not available in English and the only way to fully understand the story is to watch the anime. If you do not watch the anime some of how the idol system works/ the idols backstory might go over your head. The third problem I have is it is not that inclusive. A lot of the idols refer to the producer as miss/ use she/ her pronouns. If you don’t identify as female this can break the immersion/ cause dysphoria. These are all the major problems I have with the game. If you can look past all these problems the game is actually pretty enjoyable. The gameplay is fun, especially the harder levels. The game is also pretty giving for a gacha game. I have played multiple before and I can say this makes it pretty easy to be f2p. You don’t have to drop a lot of money to enjoy the game. The idols designs/ characterization is pretty good .They have a lot of idols with a rage of different personalities. That’s all I really have to say for now on the game. I hope they fix some of the translation/ audio.

    • The gacha is a total rip off

I know I’m the idiot who spend over 200 for one card (that I still didn’t get despite saving up scout tickets and paid gems) but the banner is a total lie. In all 130 pulls i got two 5 star but NEITHER were the character featured. It’s a 1% chance and you have to pull at least 30 times for a guaranteed shot at the card. The actual gameplay is fun and the characters are entertaining but…I don’t mind spending money it’s just this is grossly predatory.

    • it's ok

it's a good game but the translations are so stiff + the censorship is bad (kaoru is apparently inappropriate... HOW???). compared to other localisations (like SIF en/endori), this one kind of falls flat but the gameplay is alright. there's a lot of typos too (especially on the official twitter) but i am obligated to rate 4 stars because i am in enstars jail. mahiru no zanzou has me in a chokehold (please listen to it)

    • Love love love this game and characters but can’t help but be abit bitter.

So I’ve been a fan of enstars for quite a while. I’m so happy to finally get a English release as I love the game and characters but I can’t help but be very disappointed that English fans are missing a entire other part of the story and game. The whole first part of the story that explains a lot to this game is basically gone(all the translations on wiki got taken off) and we don’t get that part of the game so.. we’re basically missing a whole first part and English player just won’t get a translation for it. If we’re not getting a basic release I don’t understand why all the translations were taken down. But either way I do really like this game

    • Love the game, but the translation…

This game is amazing, it’s awesome to finally have enstars in English. The songs are great, the MVs are stunning, and the boys are all so appealing, both character and appearance-wise! My only gripe is the translation…sometimes it feels much too stiff. For example, characters saying “I do not/I cannot” instead of just “I don’t/I can’t” like most people would say (asides from characters like Rei, I get that in those circumstances). There are also typos occasionally, not super frequent but frequent enough for me to notice it as a problem. Overall, great game, they just need to work on the translation more.
