Update 2: Again with the lies. You can manually restrict apps to 17+, which you intentionally have not done. Stop pretending you’re not doing that which you are so obviously doing. Update: So you admit to deliberately lying on the App Store regarding the target age for your game. Not only is that fraud, your pretending that it isn’t is even more more telling. Blocked by a legal agreement that requires you to be at least 16. Why does Google allow this kind of fraud?
This is a very interesting and fun way to play a word game. The problem is I’m pretty sure a lot of the “words” aren’t actually words. After once or twice thinking this, I figured it was just me being unfamiliar with those words, but after advancing in the game into level 30 or so, I was running into seemingly fake words quite a bit. To be fair, I didn’t Google these questionable words, but I’m 36 years old, did well in school, and work in a fast-paced business environment… I’m pretty familiar with the English language, and these are exclusively five-letter words. I usually only need three guesses in Wordle (on hard mode). If I’m wrong and all those questionable words really are actually in the dictionary, then still they are words nobody ever uses, and so what’s the point of this game? I think what we have is an English language game built by someone who may not speak English as a first language (or at all). This is a very well designed, inventive word puzzle game unfortunately ruined by poor fundamentals. It probably would’ve been better to have an English-speaking person come up with the actual puzzles.
This app used EGYPT which is a proper noun and not valid in any legitimate word game. Some proper nouns such as JIMMY are valid because they have a separate meaning “to pry open”. EGYPT is not one of those words. Not sure what audience this app is targeting but it can’t be serious word game junkies. Dealbreaker for me but possibly fun for others.
It's not a bad game. After the first three boards, however, there is an ad after EVERY board you play. I thought I could deal with it but nah. I deleted the game. Too bad because it's really not a bad little game. Update: Gonna give this game another shot based on the developer’s positive response. It really is a fun little game and nice to pass the time away. If the ads are reduced, I’ll gladly add another star. Much better now!
Great game. I’m actually kind of hooked on playing it. Some boards are really hard and you’ll be staring at the letters forever trying to find a word. It helps to remember that not all the letters are used in every word. I also like the “hidden word” feature that gives you hints for the current board when you find a word that’s not part of the solution, but still recognized in the game’s lexicon. Another review complains about ads and I’m not sure why because I have played more than three boards and haven’t gotten any ads
