The app is lacking hardcore. If you don’t click “i’m fit and ready to dive” that pops up before every dive, the app fails to record your dive. if you push the i’m fit button at lets say 50ft the app log shows you started your dive at 50ft. it’s not recording and tissue saturation or anything unless you hit that button. very dangerous. also every time you come to the surface, it ends your dive and now again you need to hit the i’m fit and ready to dive button. there should be an end dive timer you can set like other dive computers. I am not impressed and with already 6 updates you figured they would fix the dangerous portions
Overall good for light rec diving. Annoyance is that the moment you get near the surface it ends dive. Safety stop is non adjustable. The moment you surface compass becomes inop. So shooting a line on a boat or exit point and dropping again is impossible. Fix these things and it will be a start. You would thing oceanic would k ow better on these items.
I purchased the one day trial for a two drive boat trip. On the first dive, I could not get it out of snorkel mode. So I ended up doing my dive in snorkel mode, which then unbeknownst to me, locked me out of scuba diving mode for 24 hours. So I never got to use it today, for any of my dives!
If you recently purchased or upgraded your Google Watch to IOS 9.2 (January 2023) the App will not let you open it up on the Google Watch. It advises you to “Upgrade to IOS 9.1”. You cannot downgrade your watch so the watch and App is useless for use as a dive computer.
Won’t synch info to Android and all records of todays dive are non existent. App did function well during and post dive. Useless for reviewing or storing information. Open and close app, repeated synch, blah blah blah. Same result.
