I don’t pay for a lot of apps, but I was intrigued by this one. It worked as advertised, I guess, but didn’t give me useful info and annoyed me on sign-up. The annoyance was that there is a checkbox about whether you want notices from them, but if you leave the opt-in box unchecked, you can’t proceed. That’s malicious design, frankly, and I didn’t appreciate it, especially from a paid app. When I did the reading test, the answer I got was “1.75+”. And, right, I knew that. I wasn’t expecting the upper limit on the app to be set so it wouldn’t give me a specific, useful, number. Bottom line: if you’re more forgiving than I am about opt-in policies and if your eyesight is still good enough that you can make out text if you hold a book at arms-length, go ahead and spring for this app and it should give you a useful number.
Just to check consistency, I went through the tests three times and got similar results. The glasses I purchased proved to be exactly what I needed.
It would helpful to indicate that it’s necessary to have facial recognition in your phone to use your app. Please refund my money. Thanks
Would give 0 stars, as after several attempts this app never worked - not at all. And … No way to get a refund! Yeah, maybe a scam.
Can’t use unless you agree to terms for data release and unwanted advertising. I’ll use my tried and true method of trying glasses on.
