Despite seeing a mediocre 3.5 score, I decided to give it a try, it’s free and why not. The game is with beautiful art and effects, good tutorial, easy to start, and require a lot of strategic planning when you dive deeper into this game. 13 heroes, 3 map regions, 35ish hero-specific cards for each hero, 60ish non-hero-specific cards, 3 hero-specific equipments for each hero, 100ish non-hero-specific equipments, and tons of random map events and talents. Even the final boss has 5 elemental types! All the above makes this rouge-like card game a unique experience each time you restart. If you enjoy a beautiful, intensive planning, brainstorming, and RPG game, you will love this one. But beware, time flies really fast when you are all into it!
Great game and challenging. Takes a little while to understand the concept and builds but fun time and time again. New characters would be awesome!
The game is fun, though clearly lesser than its desktop counterpart. The game also has some obvious bugs I’ve run into. Also one really toxic mechanic. Bugs: - Some cards have the string name for the description instead of the description itself. A lot of minions are like this - If you add a card that generates other cards, the other card appears when you hover over ANY card for the rest of the game and also when you interact with the side of the screen that that card appears on. The overlay can even interfere with pressing the ultimate or playing cards for the character on the right side. This remains for the entire rest of the run. - I don’t know how I got it to start, but you can get into a state where some of the cards in your hand are invisible and non intractable. They are there and if they are enemy cards planted in your deck, they still have a negative impact, but you can’t use them or see them in any way. This also lasts the entire duration of the run - your progress, despite text indicating, is not connected to your Netflix profile. My second Mobile seems to have no idea what happened on the first Mobile despite being connected to the same profile. - quests don’t work properly. Often you finish them and can’t claim the reward. Bad mechanic: when enemies shuffle cards into your deck, they stack infinitely and often too frequently. Since the size of decks is so small, they can fill up your entire hand for several turns. Sometimes, even if you are paying attention, you can’t avoid getting more cards dumped in. But really, the game is very fiddly and it’s not really fun to pay that much attention to which phase a boss on. I’ve played through about 8 times and the icons aren’t clear enough, and the effects are too many and so varied that it’s too complicated to really keep track of what’s going on without reading all the effects every single turn. And this is coming from someone who loves fiddly details.
At least no longer crashing on my phone.
This is so much better than almost all the games like this I played, and I played all of them! I cannot believe a game like this existed I didn’t know about it doesn’t constantly nag you to pay money. I see that it had low ratings because it used to crash a lot but so far I have not seen that so I think they may have fixed it. Thank you Netflix, please make more games like this.
