This is an amazing app. Easy to use, timely, clear. Just the best. Thank you developers.
Impressive. Notified of updates to the fire immediately. I don’t have to constantly check twitter or fb for updates. The notification sound is not “alarming”- a soft sound. I would like the *option* to receive a loud(alarming) sound for notifications. It would be absolutely wonderful if I could specify a perimeter around my location to get notifications. County level notifications are better than none, but a fire could easily be 100 miles away. Thank you!!!
We live in Lake County, CA. Forest fires and grass fires are a clear and present danger. This app keeps us aware of fires and their management. I highly recommend this app.
I live in a wild land space and place a very high value on timely and detailed wildfire information. For updates on a fire that is an active incident this has them all beat, hands down. However, I noticed with dismay that a very recent recent fire off Edgewood road has already disappeared off the map, and the latest update release notes have indicated that fires will drop off the map sooner going forward. Feature request: provide a way to look at earlier fires either by adjusting the rate at which fires drop off, a map area search, or some other means. Super grateful for this app, the change suggested would make it six stars IMO. :)
After the CZU fire in Santa Cruz, it feels like fire season is now always on top of us. I got my first Watch Duty alerts to my Google Watch the other day and was able to clearly seeing receive updates to what was happening. The format is great and the updates are really informative. By far the best app for this sort of thing. Well done!
