It didn’t work at first (even after a restart, I couldn’t add widgets I had made), but then suddenly and mysteriously it worked beautifully.
That’s pretty much the kind of functionality I would expect from Google themselves (I already used aliases on my macintosh’s desktop 30 years ago… I was 6 years old 🤨!) But so happy that someone smart did the job for them ! It’s still a bit rough on the edges but I guess widgets don’t allow much freedom to program with… One feature I miss though : being able to rename the shortcuts to make them shorter in the context of the app ( i want to keep the original file or folder name untouched ) otherwise it’s unreadable.
