Vythm VJ for Android

I was excited to find this visualizer with such great performance and a video background, but ultimately am disappointed by some upsell choices by developer which make it undesirable. The app includes a “random” feature which cycles through FX and colors and is just what I was looking for, but as it cycles, it strangely includes settings that you haven’t purchased yet. These settings are at a lower resolution and labeled as PREVIEW so it really ruins the flow of the visuals. This dark pattern is a way to force you into buying more settings, and the developer should instead have a toggle that skips unpurchased settings in the random loop. Even if you purchase ALL the settings, the app still shows advertisements for the developer’s other apps, and again ruins the flow of the visuals. It’s almost like the developer doesn’t want you to enjoy all the hard work they’ve done. It’s a shame the developer has made these choices because the visuals are awesome. Hopefully they have enough success to consider fixing these issues.

This is a good app with some very cool visuals but it needs some kind of a sequencer to time it to music. I am trying to create a music video and some way to change visuals to the beat with no fades would be stellar. As it stands now, it’s not useful for someone like me.
