I am not sure if this works with all solar controllers that have Bluetooth, but this does work with a solar controller from Grape Solar. This app contains a lot of data but for a person who is not familiar with all the Termanology, there could be some kind of page in the app that explains what each of the statistics are for. Under Parameter Settings, there are a number of items that show up, but only one of the items can be changed. That item is System Voltage. When I entered the app for the first time, I couldn’t figure out how to add a Bluetooth device. The plus sign should be changed to text that says “add device” or add “Bluetooth device” or something similar. In summary, this app has good potential but needs better communication.
This app is very helpful for helping me monitor my solar charging controller. It simply connects my smartphone through Bluetooth with my controller. I do wish, however, it offered a way to read how much battery power my solar battery has. The controller offers that percentage reading on its device but I have it tucked away out of sight. So listing that on the app would be so helpful. It lists pretty much every other read out. I even appreciate that I can turn on and off the DC load.
