Everything about Opal is great but I don’t find a reason for the, “End session.” It just mocks you.
I’m trying to reduce my screen time substantially and live more real life. Opal is the first app that has really helped me with this. Typing in an intention for using apps is what really makes a difference. The options for choosing to allow/block all or just some apps is useful. I also like the options to choose specific lengths of time to block apps, and also to allow apps.
It’s weird, sometimes it shuts me off just a few minutes after the session starts, but often it keeps letting me on TikTok or IG for an hour after the session was supposed to start. I keep deleting and rebuilding schedules, hoping it fixes, but it’s still unreliable.
Helped a little but decided to cancel before my free trial was up because it would often not work (I'd be able to use my distracting apps even when I was in focus time). Also it's quite expensive once the trial is up.
I’m trying to get to the bottom of a bunch of sub-optimal stuff in my life. One of the factors was not getting enough sleep. If I couldn’t fall asleep, I would scroll on my phone, sometimes for hours. Opal works better for me than prescription sleep medication.
