The scans are not color accurate at all and the quality is really bad. And if your defense is, “you need to buy the macro lens and the subscription” then you might as well pay a film lane to use professional scanners to give you high-res scans of your photos. What really is disheartening is that some people probably scan priceless memories and threw away the negatives. No matter how you scan your photos you should never throw away your negatives.
Going through family photos and wasn’t sure how we could capture the ones we only had negatives for. This works great!
I have my phone set up With a diy light box. It’s at the correct distance. But this app chooses its own distance and I can’t use my camera settings. I would Be ok if it was a one and donesuubscription but d if w lose we.
It’s nearly impossible to hold your Android steady while scanning negatives with this app. And, because of that the results are subpar. NOT GOOD. They may be good for a phone screen, small, but if you want to enlarge them (even with a double pinch), they are blurry and grainy. I have thousands of negatives and having them professionally transferred to digital format would be terribly, prohibitively expensive. In my opinion, you should invest in a film scanner. Which is what I plan to do. Or just use my scanner.
Love seeing long photos come to life.
