Super fun, well executed, and very addictive, especially if you’re a fan of word-based games. I love how the game awards you with bonus points for using words you’ve never used before, and keeps track of how many unique words you’ve used over a given month. One downside is the game has a LOT of long and deceptive (hard to exit) ads, especially if you aren’t using a VPN ad blocker like Privacy Pro. Otherwise I just restart the app after every game. However, the game does have an ad free version for $3.99. Since it’s a new game, depending on the time of day you’ll be facing a lot of bots. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as they’re convincing enough and the game’s still awesome, but it’s just a different experience from a human opponent. Right now there are a lot of Japanese players, though, so you’ll find the most human opponents during their waking hours. One last note... due to the nature of the game, be prepared for long words that start with ‘Y’. I’d recommend looking some up, especially as you rank up, as it’s likely you aren’t going to recall words like “yachtswoman” on the spot.
It’s a really cool concept and it’s really fun except the ads. They pop up every single time you finish a match and are at least 15 seconds long.
