Flip Sampler for Android

No fault to Andrew - his videos are clear and easy to follow. He makes the app more fun than it actually is. The app just seems cluttered to me and the interface really distracting visually. Plus there are too many bugs. An update would be nice as well that includes AUM integration which I see a lot of reviews mentioning. I was using it for a bit to some success and just when I started getting in a good groove everything got glitchy. Suddenly it bugged out so I closed the app. When I restarted it, no sound came out whatsoever and it suddenly cannot import wav files? So I began using AudioShare and same problem. However audio is playing samples from the online marketplace where all of Andrew’s influencer friends upload packs and content. Also, I am experiencing an issue where the pads are not playing the actual loaded samples while looping. In place of a “sub kick” it’s playing a completely different sample kicked up in pitch like an fx sample or a bell - it sounded like just a beep. I had to delete my entire sequence and start all over again only to have the same issue occur. Sorry but this is a pass.

Personally I love this app. It helps me express the trashy sounds before am actual production session. I've also take some really cool samples at work through the record sample button. Unfortunately after a few weeks of enjoying the Operation pocket DAW, the app just bugged out and deleted files and sounds I had uploaded into the library. I think I might have messed something up during a file sort but after looking into it & moving the files back, it still doesnt bring back my sounds and even the stock beats and stock sound kits. Overall this app has so much potential but it's too bugy. It would compare to an alpha mode DAW. A better comparison is to EA and Dice launches of every Battlefield title. I'm hoping that eventuall the app will be good.

Whenever I press record and I immediately stop the recording without playing anything, when I try to play back the sounds previously recorded, I can’t hear it at all unless I exit the app. Also whenever I go to the song order tab and mess around on it for too long the app kicks me out. Please let me know if it’s just my phone being dumb:)

Great sampler. Only thing that would make it better is if you could export your work as a wav file rather than just a zip. But since they fixed the issue with InterApp Audio, I can use it with GarageBand again, so I can go back to saying it’s my favorite sampler even without an export to wav feature.
