Not in leaps and bounds, but in small steps. I’d been looking for a time-tracking/pomodoro app, but most apps treat the two as completely separate things. Bluebird marries both quite well. I was also looking for Google Watch, Mobile, and Android sync + a one-time purchase option (was only about 10 mins in before I bought the lifetime purchase!). The app currently fits the bill & I’m happy to hear that they will be releasing a Android app, as well. Overall, Bluebird has helped my work seem more manageable and approachable because I’m aiming for a time goal rather than trying to get the whole thing done at once. I struggle with procrastination and being able to set customizable timer durations toward my overall goal is a huge motivator. Additionally, I really love the focus reminders feature. I get notifications on whichever device I started the timer on, they’re unobtrusive and just help me refocus if I’ve gotten distracted. The due dates on tasks is also especially helpful because I get to track my assignments alongside personal goals & tasks. Anyway, I’m thrilled to have discovered this app and have gotten in as an early adopter. Wishing it and its indie developers so much success & longevity. All the best.
I was looking for a to-do list that also functioned as a timer so I wouldn’t have to deal with the hassle of a time tracking app and a task management app and this was by far the best option I found. Really delightful UI: so many of these types of apps have so many features they cease to be useful. The only thing that would make it better is if you could add subtasks to be checked off (any chance we might see this in the future? It would be really useful to me for repeating to-dos. Ex: morning routine with 1. Take medication 2. Skincare 3. Floss, etc)
Beautifully crafted UI and easy-to-use functionality! Thanks for this two “little” yet cute developers (one as coder and another as designer I guess? 👀). Plus, looking forward to experiencing Android version of the app, especially after browsing that comic you posted…
I originally had some problems with the Mobile version of this app but the team emailed me and made sure to take care of it. I really love the app but it would be helpful if I could import tasks from my calendar since most of the scheduling goes there. Thanks!
My brother and I were talking about our dream mindful todo list. We talked about embracing margin, scheduling, and focusing on one task at a time. So I searched the App Store, and boom! A wild Bluebird appears. I read the Medium article introducing the app, which was very informative and supporting humane-technology. I will be testing out over the next few weeks and can update the review. Thanks! P.S. One recommendation: can we have US time in the app, like am’s and pm’s? (Update: thanks for working on that!!) (Update: idea. Can we have an easy way to just get tasks outside of our head, like a dedicated inbox, and then go and organize and put dates on them later when processing ?)
