The app is helpful in managing headphones from the approved list. However I want to have more visibility into the headphones firmware. Am I up to date? Is it a verified firmware? I always wonder about firmware when I start to have connectivity oddness.
With the new Sesh ANC, I have not had the vast majority of problems described by other users in their reviews of this app paired with other headphones. Given the complex nature of the earphone two button press-and-hold command sequence, it’s a good idea to have the EQ selection offloaded to a visual interface; changing the noise cancellation mode is easier this way as well, although having the ability to adjust ANC with the physical earphone buttons remains useful on a daily basis. It would be an improvement if the headphones themselves would remember the ANC setting rather than having to choose every time they are removed from the case and it’s my hope that this can be included in a firmware update. The only major problem that I’ve had with this app is that if it is not force-closed from the iOS background app selection, the right earphone will cut out frequently; this issue will persist through re-syncing and resetting the earphones according to the manual’s instructions. I was almost ready to return these new earphones to the store before realizing that there is no connectivity issue with audio played from the Android to the earphones when the Skullcandy app is not running and not connected to the Sesh ANC. The app can be used to change settings, but must be force-closed when finished or the aforementioned connection issue will occur repeatedly throughout my regular use.
Hi! So i have the “Sesh Evo” model and i cannot find it in the options. I have tried every option. Whar do i do now
Second pair of Indy ANC. First pair was returned under warranty because they stopped charging and was running firmware 0009. Second pair, same model, will not prompt for firmware update and runs 0008. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, unlinked, etc multiple times - never prompts the firmware update which is extremely irritating. Would also like to see an option where it saves the last noise cancelling option so you don’t need to change it every time you use the earpods. I usually turn it off for more battery life - I have to turn it off every time I use them then.
