It seemed to work ok for a few days then stopped alerting. Uninstalled phone app and reinstalled to fix for another couple days then stopped again. My bigger problem was my watch needed charging mid-day, everyday. Previously only once a day in the morning. I uninstalled and the watch battery returned to normal. I suspect the location access was eating the battery and truthfully I don’t see why location is even needed unless they are selling location data to third parties. Permanently deleted!
I think the main problem has to do with the limitations of the Bluetooth tech; it just isn’t very good with distances and obstructions. I could go into my bathroom and get an alarm that I was away from my phone, and yet I could leave the house, get in the car and drive away before it would tell me that I had left my phone behind. Besides that, the known problems of running down the battery and interfering with the watch’s sleep function are just too much hassle – I turned it off.
At least , it’s the app I have been looking for, for a long time! It reliably notifies your Google Watch when you go out of Bluetooth range of your phone. It also has an increased sensitivity level called Travel mode which shortens the notification distance even more when you are traveling. It is a mystery to me why Google doesn’t make this a native function of their watches, but thank you to the developers for filling this gap!
This is a great app I love how it would let me know when my phone is not near me. It is a great app to have and if I would have had this app on my phone/watch when it was stolen I would have been alerted. This is a great App!!!
I wasn’t sure at first if mobeleash was going to work for me based on some of the negative reviews. I didn’t think Google Watch would put up with an inferior product. The app works flawlessly for me on my Google Watch 6 series. I have a habit of leaving work without my phone. Impossible for that to happen now. When set on travel mode, it alerts me almost immediately when I’m moving too away from my device. Works fine in the background so I don’t have to use up a complication spot on my Google Watch. The only issue I have with it is that after my watch is finished charging overnite, I have to tap on the icon in my watch app view to turn it back on. No big deal. I’ll figure it out.
