This is just the app I've been looking for. A simple app that provides the ability to quickly, easily capture screen video of the entire screen, a dragged area or (most helpful) specific windows in a small file size that can be formatted as MP4 or GIF, if the subject matter is short enough. Gifex does all of that, very well! I just found this app, but so far am VERY glad I did!
I find it so satisfying when you're looking for a niche product (in my case, easily creating gifs for software documentation), and find exactly what you need in a well executed manner. rep devs
Everything about Gifox is great, except the performance—any time I edit a GIF, I have to sit through repeating 10-30 second hangs, with only 5-10 seconds of productive time before the next crash. This turns a simple one-minute task into a 10-15 minute process
Gifox is one of the few utilities that specializes in animated gifs. They do one thing really well. The software is beautiful, a great price and worth every penny. I happily support them as a paying customer.
UPDATE: Paid for old version, was angry about paying for new. Turns out, there is a link on their website for the original. Changed my review back to 5 stars. Check your email for the license key.
