Looks like they are taking a page from Microsoft playbook where every improvement adds more clicks to get to what you actually need. This app is optimized for people have more than one thermostat. I’m not sure how many other uses are that but every house I’ve ever had is only had one thermostat. So rather than the nice clean display that was in the last version, there’s now just a partial display then I have to tap into that to get to the clean display and even if that there’s a big banner at the top. Why don’t you at least optimize this back to the way it was just looking at how many thermostats someone has. If they have one just show that as the main page. More is not always better. take a page from Google and not Microsoft on user design.
Why can’t I see or create a schedule - it used to do that.
The app flat out just does not work. Even dismissing reminders does not work. You have to use the thermostat. I’m deleting the app - completely worthless.
I’m no longer allowed to input the schedule in my app. This is horrible. I’m going to call my hvac company because this is unacceptable. The app does nothing except allow me to change the temperature. I don’t use georeferencing so I have no comment on that aspect of the new app.
Geofencing for a single mobile device seems to be a lot more reliable than in previous versions, but it still seems impossible to use more than one phone to geofence. For households with more than one person, geofencing is not useful if tied to a single phone. If two phones are used, the system will latch to the most recent state update and not look at the status of all connected phones. So if one phone goes out of range, the system will enter away mode even though the other phone is inside the fence.
