I just started playing. It’s good but not too good

It’s a nice game for passing time randomly. But I’ve run into a little problema. I got soul gem upgrades in the shop, but they only work sometimes. Like I’d get on one day and be like “did I have that before?” Or I’d get on and see that nothing has changed. I really don’t know how they work, so maybe they could add a description next to them that tells when and how they work? Also this has happened on many occasions now but I’ve lost my AFK rewards because I was spamming my screen and tapped out of them. Can you fix that? I’ve done that several times but 2 specific times were money that I needed to get certain upgrades so that bothers me that that could happen.
