When this device first arrived after backing it’s IndieGogo campaign, I was impressed with the quick ECG and PPG readings and the waveform logging. After several uses however now I cannot get the PPG to be detected and I have not damaged or dropped the device, not sure if a bug in an update caused this or if it’s a hardware issue but I’ve attempted using it on both Android/iOS and the Android versions of CloudMed iCare and sadly both exhibit the same issue which leads me to believe it’s a hardware issue. Feeling a bit ripped off.
15 Sep 2021 I received my iCare device a few days ago, downloaded the app to my Android, set iCare unut up, then downloaded the app to my Mobile Pro Gen 3. Here are the problems and issues I have encountered: (1) After setting up iCare on Android and doing the annual subscription, I have found that even though the Mobile know I am subscribed, it will not get out of the non-subscription mode and show the data on the Android. Sync Issues! (2) The app uses your phone number as your user id instead of email. I despise that! (3) the app is obviously metric measurement-centric. It only allows height to be entered in centimeters. Weight can be entered in stones, kilograms, or pounds; however, the app only uses a spinner from 0 to 250 regardless of measurement units. So if you weigh over 250 lbs, you must convert it to kilograms in order to be able to enter it. Height always has to be converted to centimeters. This is just extremely poor program design withuse cases that are deficient. (4) ECG waveforms are literally cluttered with excessive electrical noise. The Watch 6 series has better ECG measurements! The apps waveforms are also drawn with an excessively thick line making it difficult to see granular details in the ECG. I presume this was to cover the excessive electrical noise. (5) There is too much “garbage” in this app with dietary recommendations, specialist’s comments, fitness evaluation. Let’s face it, Google’s iHealth already does these things and iCare data feeds into iHealth, so why repeat what is already well crafted? (6) The app is incapable of indicating any of the following on the waveforms that are measured: PAC and atrial cuplets PVC and ventricular cuplets PSVTs Atrial runs or wandering pacemakers I am not all that sure it detects AFib as my Watch Series 6 is able to do. All in all I find the app to be poorly designed and written and thoughtlessly deficient of a good Use Case analysis. Additionally, the iCare monitor itself is prone to picking up too much electrical noise. Overall, it simply is a poor monitoring tool and notvery helpful. I would not recommend this device or its application to anyone who needs to seriously track cardiac health.
1. Multiple misspelled words like “Bok coy”, “rape” 2. Not intuitive such as missing information of what each mean. What is a “pressure index” reading? Blood pressure is fine but ‘pressure index’ means nothing as it’s not defined at all 3. Dietary information is way off the mark 4. If you want to provide 8 different readings you absolutely should be providing 8 different meanings and helping people understand what your saying. When you misspelled words and didn’t offer clarification to what those measurements reading meant, this is referred to as a medical error in the medical field and that is the 3rd leading cause of death in America. Please update the app to provide better health care services as this is what the device meant to do. Thank you.
最近更新APP後,在執行測量時,軟體就會突然跳出,無法完成測量,不知道怎麼回事。
It is exceptionally clear that this app was not written or reviewed by a native English speaker. The terminology is poor (in the west we use fats not grease, and we do not eat heads of potatoes). Also it locks up frequently and requires a phone reboot, and there are no explanations on what it means by tiredness index and fitness index as well as the body age term. Not good at all, requires a total rewrite to make it useful. Another indiegogo fail!
