If there was something better available, I'd switch. The single most maddening feature is the inability to remember your source. Select a song, close the window and listen. Decide to switch to another artist and you'll need to start over navigating to your music server (which for me is six clicks). Is it too much to ask to remember where you last were?
I cannot get this app to open on my Android.
Dead icon sitting on my desktop. Nothing loads, no little icon in systray ... Meh. Give this a hard pass.
I have a 2014 Android mini running Big Sur operating system. I also have two Yamaha Musicast systems. I use the YamaCast App to change internet radio stations and to adjust the volume in my living room, where my computer is located. The app icon stays at the top of my monitor screen when the app is on. The only thing that I have not figured out how to do is to turn my Musicast receiver on and off. The app does not seem to be able to do this but maybe it is due to how my router is set up. It is nice to be able to change the radio stations and volume from my computer while I am working at home.
I bought this for one feature: the ability to turn on or off sets of speakers from my laptop. The Android app has this, although it's buried a little. The desktop app seems to have no ability to do this. I have to ask, what is this app for except linking and unlinking receivers?
