I have a brand new KFGC506JSS range and when the oven heats up I have nothing but problems with the App and thermometer so everything I cook using Probe Cook mode to monitor the internal temperature of the meat I end up over cooking. Yesterday was thanksgiving and had issues cooking the Turkey and monitoring it’s temp and today we just cooked a pizza on bake and when the range got up to temp the app lost connection to the oven and I kept getting “Whoops…. Something went wrong on our end” messages.

I’m just begun using the new stove and the app together I have just begun using the new app and stove together, but there’s nothing about the app that works in an intuitive way, or seems to be useful including the review, which I cannot see what appears to be printing
UPDATE: This app is getting worse, not better. I realized that I was no longer getting notifications that cycles had completed (which is basically all I use the app for anymore…everything else is unstable or useless) so I go to check the app. App tells me the oven is offline. Go through the process to reconnect (app directions and oven directions don’t match by the way). Oven tells me that it’s connected to the internet & KitchenAid. App tells me that it can’t connect to the oven and to check my firewall or call support. STUPID!!! Tried removing the appliance from the app and re-adding it. Same problem. Deleted the app from my phone, re-downloaded it and tried again, same problem. All the problems from my original review still stand, nothing has been fixed and now it’s even worse. Don’t buy this oven if the app is something you are interested in. ORIGINAL: I like my new KitchenAid combo wall oven. Tons of fun features and it works and looks great. This review is for the app though because I do have a problem with that (though maybe it’s an oven issue and not the fault of the app? I don’t know). The status of the microwave in the app is always getting out of sync with what’s actually going on. It could have been hours since the microwave was last used but the app always thinks that it’s still running. The only way I’ve found to fix this (and it only works about half the time) is to open the app, leave it on the home screen (where you can select oven or microwave), run a short cycle on the microwave and then make sure I open and close the microwave door. That seems to push an update to the app. If I select the microwave from the home screen (which brings up the incorrect timer) and do this process, it doesn’t work. So the app has this timer running…and it seems to me that even if the app and the microwave lost their connection to each other, the app should assume that once the timer in the app is done, the microwave is no longer running. Instead, the app timer keeps resetting itself if I go in and out of the microwave screen and even if I sit there and watch it finish, it still says the microwave is running and I have to do that janky process to get it reset. If this is an app issue, I hope you all can figure that out. If it’s a hardware problem with the oven, I hope this review will get passed on to the hardware team and maybe they can fix it with a software update.
The oven keeps of losing the connection to the network. Half the time i try to reconnect, I must call customer support to get reconnected.
