I look at grasses all the time for work and could never find a good app to help me identify them until I found this one. The pictures are awesome and have great detail so you can compare them to what you are seeing out in the field.
This is an app I was really looking for, being new to Idaho and surrounded by beautiful grasses. I am, however, disappointed. It is not user friendly and moving around is quite tedious. It is just not there yet. The grasses are listed in alphabetical order by common name. This means even related species are far apart in the app , e.g. the various wheat grasses. Some grouping by inflorescence type or habitat or flowering time or genus/family would definitely help. I know that filtering does that, but comparing species even then is hard... you can’t just flip back and forth between them. And having photos displayed in slideshow format would be much more useful than having to scroll all the way to the end to see them.
