I had been using Bonsai for several months and was generally happy about it, however about a month ago, one of the main feature - the time tracker - stopped working for Android and iOS. The customer support isn’t able to say when the issue will be fixed and offer nothing but a sorry. Not only I am paying for a service that I am not getting, but it is also impacting my ability to work efficiently.
Would like to be able to track and access the history of when timer has stopped and started throughout the day. Also interface is not very user friendly.
The app definitely isn’t as good as the site. Three big issues: 1) It logs out after even a few hours of not using it, therefore forcing you to log back in way too often. 2) You can only start a timer, and can’t log time manually by project or hours. It works completely different from the site and isn’t intuitive at all. The whole app needs more consistency on features. 3) If you have 2FA turned on, when you get the SMS it doesn’t show in the keyboard so you have to remember it and type it. This sounds minor, but it slows down log in, especially when combined with issue #1. My guess is they’re using a custom keyboard or not updating to fully support Google’s latest features. All other apps I use have this feature (showing the 2FA code in the keyboard to auto-paste it).
Bonsai is great, but it’s unfortunate that they can’t fix the bug everyone is talking about in their reviews about not being able to log in. Same issue on my end lol my iOS and Bonsai app are updated.
I can’t login to retrieve the hours I’d accumulated. This is a nightmare as a freelancer. The app says to update. I have, and it still won’t log in
