All the other timers I’ve tried do too much and kinda miss the point of meditation. All I need is something to log sits of more than 5 min. in the Health app. This does just that! Only 4 stars though, because there’s always room for improvement. Short wish list: (1) a Watch app with haptic feedback to end a session and (2) an open-ended option that counts up instead of down and has no bell (or maybe has a single chime every x minutes).
Had my phone in airplane mode, set the timer to 40 minutes. I sat and it started to feel like it had been longer than that and when I checked, it had been an hour, and when I opened my phone the timer was ticking down still with 23 minutes left. It must have fallen asleep somehow. I like the simplicity and the gong sound but if the timer doesn’t work reliably then it’s not useful
Minimalist, simple, functional. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for creating this!
I’ve really liked this app a lot but the chime has stopped working either by tapping or at the end of meditation. I removed and added back the app and still no chime. All other sounds on my phone work. Hmmmm.
It was great until recently. For no apparent reason it stopped announcing the end of the meditation period. I guess over-meditating is not such a terrible thing, but still, it would be nice to get those three gongs back.
