Look, I don’t mind paywalls if there is a reasonable return on my investment. Giving me an app that can’t chat to people in game, that can’t function without a bogus in-app currency and still requires a $5 monthly cost is ridiculous. I liked being able to manage my inventories across my bags and retainers, but why make it so anything Marketboard related is behind a ridiculous additional currency. Let me just use the Marketboard if I’m paying for the app. The 1 included retainer and included additional Chocobo Saddlebag are only included to make up some sort of additional worth when the app really has none. As others have said, just get yourself 2 retainers for $2 each and it’s still cheaper than the app and you are actually getting value. This app is not worth paying for, seriously just don’t.
Don’t get me wrong it’s not HORRIBLE if you have a subscription (which this thing requires) but it still is not very good. Sync is god awful, and most of the features don’t even work right. As mentioned before, if you’re playing the free to play version, you can’t even use this thing. So yeah, if there are any, you’re WAY better off using a third party app.
Stop nickel and dimeing us. It makes your company look bad. Why make angry customers?
This game is filled with retailer bots that square enix is not doing anything meaningful against. Customer service is virtually nonexistant.
