I’ve tried to open this app, it won’t accept the password I created when I firsted opened it. I tried force quitting but it won’t do that. I tried deleting app and supported files, it on’t do that. What now? I, even, tried to open the app from the AppStore but it won’t let me do that. How do I force quit or delete this app and make sure that it never comes back?
I used this application to lock another utility and it worked the first two times I needed to access that utility. Fired up the utility this afternoon and it completely crashed my system. It wouldn't accept input when I was trying to type the password and then locked my screen and would not let me task switch. Had to do a hard boot to rest and lost some of my work from this afternoon. I knew this was risky when I loaded it but figured that the App Store would provide some degree of quality control. I know the developers are updating this regularly (e.g. 2.3.2) but once bitten, twice shy. If the developers can address this problem and reply in the App Store, I might be willing to give it another go.
The app locks the apps but once you try to access the lock app it deletes each word you try to put in so it is impossible to access the app that is locked
It locks the app however if the app is clicked by mistake, you cannot go back or cancel. One of the symbols to cancel is not even on a computer so wth. There should be a way to cancel an action. I want to go to pro but this is the reason I won't.
I wanted to disable Safari entirely. An internet search showed this to be impossible, except for force deleting system files through terminal. Instead I decided to password protect it. I set the password, hit OK. Trying to open the program stops the computer. The screen blurs, but no password or dialog box of any kind appears. The only way I've found to make it go away is to hit command alt Q. This is okay for me so far, since I dont want to ever open the program anyway.
