I want to make this clear, this app is great. It’s very well designed, feels great to use, and the UI is absolutely clean. I enjoy drawing with it and sketching down ideas and notes. With that said, what I absolutely hate is that the full version requires a subscription. Really? We’re putting subscription fees on notebook apps now? I would rather have paid $10 for this in a single purchase and not have the cloud features. Stuff like this just cheapens the clear hard work that was put into this app and makes users like me feel like I’m being taken for a ride.
I used to love Flow, it’s great for doodling, taking notes, sketching out ideas, etc. I no longer can access any of my old notes because the current version includes only one document. I can’t even export them. I’m tired of being nickeled and dimed by 500 monthly subscriptions and this is not worth it.
This app is good. Like really good. When I finally got an Google pencil, this was the second app downloaded after sketch book. Back then there wasn’t a subscription for this app. It was $14.99 or something like that. I just don't believe in paying a service fee for a singular product. The other apps in Moleskin studio do not interest me. I just want to pay it one time and draw what ever I want. I’d be completely fine with missing out on updates, or paying for completely new versions. And the restrictions on the free version did not make me want to buy it, but delete it. Especially when Procreate and Sketchbook exist.
