Bike Santiago es una muy buena iniciativa para la ciudad. Fomenta el ciclismo y ayuda a moverse de un lado a otro evitando tacos o buses que nunca pasan. Sin embargo la app deja un poco que desear. Cuesta mucho asociar una tarjeta de crédito (tuve que intentarlo literalmente 20 veces para que funcionara, lo que fueron 20 cargos de 50 pesos que luego se revirtieron) y los km de viaje no se registran bien. Sumando y restando, ojalá los puntos de bicis aumenten, se sumen más comunas y puedan volverse un elemento importante en el sistema de transporte de Santiago.
Can someone use the app or rent bikes who is not from Brazil / Chile / Argentina ?
While it took a couple of times to realize you have to really yank the bike out when unlocked, it was all really easy and worked like it should. Glad that Bici Las Condes and Bike Itau all work together so you can use green or orange bikes and stations interchangeably. That’s really helpful.
