1. A 2008 study published in the PNAS scientific journal shows that a memory task called dual n-back may improve working memory (short term memory) and fluid intelligence.

2. The dual n-back task involves remembering a sequence of spoken letters and a sequence of positions of a square at the same time, and identifying when a letter or position matches the one that appeared earlier.

3. The App implements this dual n-back task, and allows you to attempt to improve your own working memory and fluid intelligence.

Settings won’t change?

I tried to change some options in settings but it reverts back to original setting..

Customizable brain training...

Other than one wish for improvement, Its a nice simple n back game with customizable options. N back is a brain training game that studies suggest can improve working memory and perhaps even IQ. Worth incorporating some practice into your life in my opinion. My wish for improvement is that the buttons to press while playing should be spaced higher up, I have had much frustration having my moves not get accepted because it didn’t register my touch. Otherwise its a great app.
