I dont have the best internet but I can play most games fine on PC. The steam link is not a good app for me because my games lag tremendously. I like to play rhythm games and that is impossible with this app. Perhaps with other genres it may be fine, but I do not see myself using this app anymore. It also has bad touch controls. They delay in timing, and they clip off my screen. Feels like a cheap android app… ): kind of disappointing.
This works really well overall, but unfortunately a small but important piece of my setup is broken! I use the magic keyboard with the Mobile Pro, and the keyboard and trackpad generally work great EXCEPT two finger scrolling on the trackpad does not translate to a scroll wheel up or down input on the host machine. As far as I can tell, there is no way to scroll with my setup, which is a big deal in many games that have lists, scroll based camera control, and so on. If I use a Bluetooth mouse on the Mobile with a scroll wheel, I’m able to scroll… but I really just want my trackpad scrolling to work. Please fix valve!
So frustrating app
Maybe phone apps are too complex for Valve? It won’t even launch.
I love Steam Link but I really wish I could play my PC games on AppleTV with the controls they were designed for rather than being forced to always use a controller. Controller is nice for some games but some require mouse input for accuracy.
