First paid $19.99 for the Android version of the game. It doesn’t work. From the first screen while they are still on the boat Alex won’t move. It gets to the part where they are about to take a picture, Alex is not in it because she has not moved. All stops there. Nothing more. Would like to get my money back. Then downloaded the $4.99 version for my Mobile that one seems to work. What gives?
This game is an intersting concept, but overall it is incredibly slow to play. The time it takes to walk from one place to another is needessly long and the nonstop talking is enough to drive one insane. The graphics are fine, and the feeling of spookiness is great, but it is just painfully slow and boring. It’s 10 minutes of walking/talking for 30 seconds of information and then you start the entire process over.
Glitchy, and I cannot interact with any doors or go to the cliffs.
I have always been a stoic and "spock-like" individual. Hence, Emotions and I do not hang out very often, and she usually remains backstage even when its her cue to perform. In spite of the hundreds of games I have played over the decades (which is largely due to my friendship with Habit), this relationship has never changed, until I played this game. When I played this game, Emotions came on stage and started to speak, and when I finished the game, she started to sing. Oxenfree is now my favorite game.
Theres this white window that pops up evertime your character chages locations and it disables you from playing it. Ive seen other reiviewer with the same problem but with no reply or answer from the maker. Really just a waste of money
