I bought this 2 years ago. My battery died and so I removed and charged it up. Now the app No longer works. I try to open it and it immediately closes. Doesn’t appear to be any activity on their Facebook account in over 2 years. Guess they discontinued service for their app? Doesn’t do me any good if the app doesn’t work. 😕
Promises promises this product does not deliver as you would expect. Needs work
I ordered this product awhile ago as a preorder. It took longer than I thought to arrive but seemed to be what I was expecting. The camera quality really isn't very good. I've tried multiple settings and it either misses frames entirely or is too blurry to make out. Once the battery gets low, the app gets stuck on the low battery icon even after you charge it. Communication with support is also not great. The camera quality and frame rate are my main complaints. I had similar results when I just mounted a tablet to the door. Update: my peeple also has been inaccessible from my network for the past day or two. Really unacceptable. This product has a long way to go.
Feels like I'm a bata tester for the software. Was told upgrades were coming such as live viewing, latency fixes, which would make it useful, but that was eight months ago. Until that happens it's a gimmicky toy that doesn't really work very well. Somedays when somebody knocks, I can have the door open and even close it again before the Peeple takes the first photo. The latency is very bad. It actually captures a face about 20% of the time, which again limits it usefulness. Given that the device completely takes over your peep hole, the fact that it doesn't do live video is a major negative for the device further limiting its usefulness. It feels like the developer has given up given how long ago the software was last updated.
The product itself w/ rechargeable battery convenience of taking on and off is perfect. Video is a little grainy (even on high) but still good quality. Patiently waiting deliverables like live video, adjustments to sensitivity settings and delete video capabilities. I really want to use the app the the creators designed for the product there are just some improvements needed. Maybe brightness adjustment capabilities would be a good option as well. Door faces a light fixture so the ambient light will wash out video.
