A Soft Murmur for Android

I’ve used quite a few sleep apps both paid and free and Murmur is the best. I love the rainstorm with things like rain, wind and thunder going as it reminds me of living in Hilo, Hawaii. Unlike other soundscapes Murmur doesn’t have a steady sound droning on and on like an unnatural rain machine that other apps do. This one is variable with its sounds and intensities. So you not only hear the rain hitting the roof but you can really tell when the rain gutters have overflowed and the rainwater is spilling onto a concrete walkway. I wear a Bluetooth eye mask to block light when sleeping that has speakers in it and when this app is going it’s hard to separate the sounds of the app from reality. The free version is fine and may be all you need but I paid the in-app purchase because the developer should really be rewarded for such an elegantly simple, and effective app.

Very good! But do we have to pay again….when new sounds are added? It is striking 💥that you specify that $1.99 is for specific sounds..

It’s been a great app to help sleep to, but when trying to sleep to noise at a single volume level over the intermittent the loop cuts out and there is a short break in the sound. Whenever the sound comes back it wakes me up and I find I’m listening for that break instead of sleeping. Hopefully the team behind the app can fix that.

This is a nice app. Simple, sweet, and effective. I would recommend it.
