So close to the perfect camera app for me

Update: I am now downgrading from a 4 star to 2, beyond the non 59.94p support I have found that the video recording cannot be deleted and instead remains on the phone as “other system data” which means if I’m doing a long shoot the only way to clear the data is to either completely wipe my phone and restore or hope that there is an Android update that will remove that data. This makes it completely unusable in back to back long shoot days. What drew me to the camera was the comparability with the tentacle Sync E. However the Rec app records 60 FPS at 60.03p compared to the more traditional 59.94p. This causes quite a noticeable drift in the video that negates the reason why I bought this app to begin with. Hopefully the developers can add a 59.94p frame rate option and also a offset option (like what the tentacle time bar app has for its GoPro synchronizations) However, I do realize that using this app to sync time code for 60fps videos is pretty niche so unless you are planning on doing such videos then this app is amazing.

Not any better than stock Camera App

REC started out great as a more customizable video app than what Google ships with their devices. Then they suddenly removed 4K 60fps HDR video and said it wasn’t supported. Yet… it comes stock on the Android. So, if you’re looking to pay for an app that records video like a four year old Android and crashes in the process - this is your app.

Easily one of the best

I have FilmicPro and Mavis but I also liked this app for it's simplicity, clean UI, ease of use and capability. One of my favorites!

4.0.1 update

For me, the 4.0.1 update made the app more buggy than it was: Tentacle Track E (the app’s biggest asset) still works, but does not show as external mic. Switching between lenses is glitchy and triggers an odd delay on screen. Great interface and first rate app once the bugs are under control.

If I could rate this app 0 stars I would.

I’m not sure if the app developer is aware of an app killing bug that is RAMPANT in this System but it will CONTINUOUSLY NOT SAVE the video and deletes them…. THANKS! I have the 1 Year subscription and cannot wait to cancel it when it comes to an end. I am a Content Creator and this Paid For App isn’t even doing the basics. My Brand New Android 13 pro max is not compatible, NO GOOD.
