In many ways, I love BusyCal. But now that I am retired (fewer appointments) work on a laptop almost all the time, I find that the displays for a day or a week display a lot of empty space. I've tried list view, which eliminates the empty space but doesn't offer a visual organization of my week. Wish there were a way to get a better display that somehow compromises between the traditional display and the listview, compact but structured.
in addition to the Android purchase, i have to purchase the mobile version if i want to use on my phone.
There is no mention in the app description that the only way to use the app is thru a paid subscription, causing people to download and waste their time, as other reviewers have noticed. Really deceptive. I'll change my rating once that is clearly stated in the app description.
When your Exchange® sync is broken in Google's original calendar app, this one acts as a good enough, albeit slightly clunkier, substitute — If (if!) you can tolerate the calamitous circular-week UI “improvement”. That's right, click on today's date at your own risk from the week view; it will make things so that the week appears to start today! This annoyed me enough to bite the bullet, wipe my own Exchange® account and start over from the real app.
